Granted, there's no welcome time to get sick, but it always seems to happen to me when I have a lot on. Since last week, I'd been - admittedly, halfheartedly - attempting to revise for an exam I have this week, then all of a sudden, I caught the flu.
The flu. Yes, the flu. In April. It's just my luck apparently. So from Tuesday until about mid-Friday, my head was thudding and throbbing, I was feverish, my body was aching all over and I was prevented from studying.
What's the problem, you might say, but even though I'm not very enthusiastic about this exam, I still want to do well.
So now that I'm thankfully feeling a lot better, I've spent the weekend taking notes and forming ideas of what I want to write about. It's deathly dull and there are many other things which could have occupied my time and given me more enjoyment, but it has to be done. It's a necessary evil.
As for the exam, which is on Wednesday, all I can do is try my best.
And failing that, blackmail is always an option. :)
